You know why I smile a lot?

Are you guys aware of Marcel the Shell? If not, watch the first video, the one that made every viewer’s heart melt into a puddle of chocolate, liquid rainbows and sparkly baby shoes:

And now, the second one! Don’t miss the “zzzzzzzzzzz”s….

There’s a picture book too! Too cute!

  1. This was just adorable and really very funny! Keep smiling, Aarti. It IS worth it! Thanks for sharing with us.

  2. Loved it! Saw you on Best Thing I Ever Made (both of them) how fun that you get to do shows like that! I’ve already made your lamb kebob recipe when i first saw it on Food Network Star. I printed off the Tandoori Chicken one. I can’t wait to try it. Most of the time I find Tandoori chicken too dry, yours looks so moist and succulent.

Thanks for making Indian cooking so accessible to the home cook, I’ve really enjoyed trying many of your recipes.

  3. Well Aarti, I have been reading your blog for quite a while. And today you got me to crack up with laughter. Thanks for sharing this random piece of humor. I used to teach 3rd grade and so the off the wall and seemingly unconnected ramblings of this shell in shoes reminded me of some of my kiddies:)

  4. Aarti, thank you so much! I’d lost track of Marcel the Shell, forgotten the name, tried to re-find with no success. Then, computer is being repaired so I’ve been computerless for a long time but borrowed some computer time at the local library. I needed some cheering up. And here you are, telling me Marcel now has a sequel! You made my day, Girlfriend! :)
Still remember the amazing day I met you for real in Youngstown, Ohio. I still can hardly believe you knew me from my online name & posts! You are one rare celebrity. And a real inspiration as a Christian lady. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God!
