Playing for Change

Found a great site called Playing for Change today, where sound recordists go around the world capturing different musicians playing the same song. What a wonderful result! They have a number of songs up, but this one is my favorite so far. Let it load completely before you hit play, so it doesn’t stop and start.

This is super cool, I love the concept, not the mention how beautiful the finished product is!

Aarti – you are the best, I am so happy you won the Next Food Network Star; I think your Indian inspired cuisine is such a breath of fresh air, it makes me believe that dinner can be a delicious adventure instead of just a hassle.
My boyfriend and I watched your pilot, and then proceeded to make and devour the Sloppy Bombay Joes. I don’t like sloppy joes, the last time I had them was at girl-scout-camp when I was 8. I remembered them as messy, greasy, blah-tasting cafeteria food. But your stories and genuine love for the ingredients won me over, and I’m so glad they did. The batch lasted us a few meals- sooooo tasty. His parents are coming to visit soon and we’ll be making it for them – and then again for my parents when they come to visit!

I found the link to your blog on the Foodnetwork.com and have been reading (instead of working) all of your stories and recipes. I love that Aarti Paarti existed before NFNS, and I can’t wait to try out some more of your delicious dishes!

Thank you and good luck with everything!
    -Kathryn
