Celebrate Yourself!

There’s a website where you can find out what else the country should be celebrating on your birthday in addition to the anniversary of your leaving the womb.

Here’s what I found out:
Me: Potato Day
Bren: Rubber Eraser Day (WHAT?!)

Who knew that the lowly potato and I were cosmically aligned? Next time someone calls me a couch potato, I will glow with pride and say, YES I AM! I will eat fries like a champion, bathe in mashed potatoes, sleep on a bed of tater tots! Does that make me a cannibal?

And who knew how compatible a potato and a rubber eraser are?

Go find out what your day is and tell me what it is!!

So I know this is a very old post, but I just started going thru it. Found out about it due to watching you on NFNS. BTW, I think you should absolutely win! Your recipes are ones I find myself wanting to try. And, of course, you are absolutely adorable!
This posting fascinated me, and I just had to find out. My birthday is March 19th. So, not so fun is National Quilting Day. Then, I discovered another celebration on Mar 19th: Swallows Return Day. It is celebrated in San Juan, CA. There is a lovely story surrounding it that can be found by searching for “The Swallows of San Juan Capistrano”.

Defy Superstition Day, which is ironic because every once and a while my birthday (September 13th) falls on Friday the 13th as well.

National Pig Day and Peanut Butter Lover’s Day. So do I get pork and peanut butter on my birthday – separately I hope, as I don’t know how to put the those two things together.

Mine is National Candy Corn Day! And I love candy corn!!!

Colleen, crispy bacon slathered with peanut butter! Yum!

I’m like others reading through your blog from the beginning. My birthday is December 29th and it’s Pepper Pot Day. Well, I like to cook.
